🍔 What is BurgerBoard?

BurgerBoard is a simple, open gallery where burger lovers from around the world can share photos of their favourite burgers. Whether it's a handcrafted smash burger from a local joint, a towering double from a roadside diner, or a homemade creation fresh off the grill — if it's a burger, it belongs here.

There are no user profiles, no follower counts, no algorithms deciding what you see. Just burgers, submitted by real people and reviewed by a human before going live.

🔒 Your Privacy is Taken Seriously

BurgerBoard was built from the ground up with privacy in mind. We believe you should be able to share a photo without handing over personal data in return. Here is exactly what that means in practice:

Fully Anonymous Uploads

No account required. No email address. No name. You visit the site, you upload your burger, you leave. That is it.

No IP Logging

Your IP address is never stored in our database. We use a one-way hashed token purely for spam and rate limiting — it cannot be reversed to identify you.

Cloudflare Protected

BurgerBoard sits behind Cloudflare's global network. Your real IP address never reaches our origin server — Cloudflare acts as a privacy shield between you and us.

EXIF Data Stripped

Every uploaded image is automatically re-processed on our server. This strips all embedded EXIF metadata — including GPS coordinates, device information, and timestamps — before the photo is stored.

No Tracking or Cookies

BurgerBoard uses no advertising networks, no analytics trackers, and no third party cookies. There is nothing following you around the internet after you leave.

Encrypted Connection

All traffic between you and BurgerBoard is encrypted via HTTPS, secured by Cloudflare's SSL infrastructure. Your connection is always private.

✅ How Uploads Work

To keep the gallery full of actual burgers, every submission goes through a quick human review before it appears publicly. Here is the process:

  1. You upload a photo — JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more are all supported, up to 8MB.
  2. We review it — a human checks the submission to make sure it's burger-related before it goes live.
  3. It appears in the gallery — once approved your burger joins the collection for the world to enjoy.

This process exists purely to keep the gallery high quality — not to gatekeep your data. Rejected photos are not stored permanently and are removed from our servers automatically.
